Good morning Stackers, got a problem on my 8310 OS v4.2.2170 (Platform 2.5.030) the backlight won't turn off, it will just stay on all the time thus causing my battery to drain faster.

My Option in the Screen are: Backlight Brightness 30 and Backlight Timeout 20 sec.

Need help, its killing my battery

    thanks
    Best regards

If the battery pull wont work, you might try re-loading your OS. Be sure to do a back up on your PC first.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

If neither of those work (or you're not at a computer to backup), try locking the phone.

Typically on the locked/logged out screen, the backlight will only remain on for 2-3 seconds. If that doesn't work, at least turn down the brightness all the way

All the above solutions sound good to me? Does the light turn off if you lock the BB or put it in standby "holding the mute key on the top"
