    Background resize question

I just got my blackberry 8310 and ive been trying to add pictures from my PC to my BB. as i discovered, this isnt as easy as with my old RAZR... Finnaly I figured out that i could just bluetooth it to my BB after transferin it to my RAZR with a USB.... So my question is, how, and to what size to i change the images so that they can be used as backgrounds without that annoying white part where the image doesnt fill the screen? are there certain pixel ratios that work? please help!

proper screen size for the 83xx models is 320x240
do you have a media card? you can turn on mass storage mode, plug bb in to usb and use it as a flash drive. you should get the pop up once you plug it in to browse the card, so on. then just drag/drop images onto the card using windows explorer.

also, that annoying white part im guessing is the theme. the ATT theme won't allow for the wall to be seen 100%. you may need to change themes.

themes for your bb (anything titled 83xx will work for you)

if you mean upgrades to the device software, there have been upgrades to the 8310. the 8320, 30 upgrades will not work on your device.

    here is link to updates

I am not an expert when it comes to reformatting pictures and the pixel sizes and stuff, but to transfer any picture any size to fit and format to my phone I use a cheap program that is for your PC. I got it from e bay and it is really fantastic. It will send your file WAP to your phone. Also good for creating your own ringtones from any CD, MP3 music you have.

just a suggestion. Hope it helps

    downloads sites for ringtones:

    pinstack
    www.mobile41.com
    www.tuneusin.com

you can browse these sites using your bb, click the ringtone you want. it will play in your media player where you will click menu and save the song sooo easy!
