    Attachment issues - NEED HELP!!!!

I can't open my attachments in emails, I keep getting " More request cannot be completed. Service book info not found"
Here's what I've already tried to correct this without any luck........
    1) pull the battery
    2) Registered through HRT Editor
    3) Pulled the battery
    4) deleted all my service books and had them resent (BES and BIS)
    5) pulled the battery again
I've checked and I still have the BB Attachment service application. The only thing I did was update my software to 4.2.2.194 and removed the PTT app and some unused themes. Anyone have any ideas what I could do to fix this beside going back to my previous setup?????

Hi Bad, sorry your having such a problem, it would be helpful to know what carrier you are with, and also if you have a data plan with said carrier. Did it work and then quit, or has it never worked?

i have had this issue with different operating systems. everything you have done i would have recommended. and if they didn't work, i would have recommended downgrading to the OS that worked.

AT&T with full data plan. It worked until updating yesterday.

Cherri is right then Possible Down grade, BUT I would check the files you removed and make sure you didn't accidently remove a COD you didn't mean to. I have done that when thinning out the OS on a device.

Not from my provider but is for my model phone. I've done this several times without any issues. I'll have to look through the .cod's I removed.
    Here's what I went to:

    BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.2.2.351 (Multilanguage)

    Package Version: 4.2.2.351
    Consisting of:
    Applications: 4.2.2.194
    Software Platform: 2.5.0.44
    File name: 8310M_PBr4.2.2_rel351_PL2.5.0.44_A4.2.2.194_TIM.ex e
    File size: 97.25MB

I ran TIMs on my Pearl last year before TMO came out with .107, and didn't have any issues, When Every I am stripping the OS, I always cut and paste to a back up folder in case I mess up. Which i did the first time I ever did it, and I just deleted, and Bricked my Pearl. LOL

Question - have you tried to open attachments on new emails from today or old emails (from before the OS install) only? you may not have access to the older attachments.

I usually do that, but for some reason I got into a hurry and just deleted them. I'm going to re-install the OS and see if that will correct it. If not, it's back to the previous version.
    Thanks for all your help!!!!!!

Suggest you send yourself some new emails with attachments and confirm that you have a problem before you do anything else.

Yeah if you deleted your service books and resent them...you also need to send a new email. It will not open the attachments on old emails because they were received with the old service books.

I installed my previous OS (4.2.2.184) and everything is back to normal. I guess it just didn't like the other?!?!?!?!?
Anyways, thanks for the warm welcome, I must say it was way better than other BB forums I've been on!!!
