    Not sure if my curve is unlocked. How can I go about getting it to vzw

    By buying a Tour or Storm. You can't switch your 8310 to VZW.
    VZW uses CDMA technology for their network. AT&T is a GSM network.

    The phones are not compatible between networks.

    VZW, Sprint, US Cellular, and a few other regional carriers in the US are still using CDMA.

    AT&T, T-Mo, and the others use GSM.

    LaTuFu is absolutely correct. ATT and TMO use SIM cards, and VZW do not. However, the unlocked storms can be used on GSM and CDMA.
