Re: AT&T thinks Curve has GPS, according to website

When I bought my Curve from ATT 2 months ago the Sales guy was like I am 100% sure it has GPS built into the phone. I argued with him and he swore to me he was right. I got home and of course I was right.

    ATT Sucks!

Just came back from their website.... It's a bit misleading, but it does have GPS capabilities, just another application is needed...

Not just another application, but other hardware. You need a separate bluetooth GPS puck.

Oops! That's what I meant... So all in all, it's a valid advertisement from AT&T...

I believe that is the one that was just released in Germany about a month ago or so.... Very similar to the current CURVE, except with Wi-Fi....

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
In some channels, Rogers stats that the Curve has GPS capabilities too. Because BB Maps has GPS support, it is a valid claim. Slightly misleading to some. But I see it has "on the edge of reality" advertising. Legal, but unfair to the less technically knowledgeable people out there. Rogers stopped advertising it with GPS for that very reason, and that is the responsible thing to do.

"Integrated GPS" could not be "legally" referring to software capability only. It must be an advertisement for the new Curve that hasn't come out yet. There will be versions with wifi and some with GPS but none with both, and releasing to different carriers (apparently). AT&T must be getting the GPS model.

Damn the Man always trying to shut down us money hungry US Citizens from another pointless class action suit.

I say we sue for the time and effort it took to find out if we could sue for the false advertising.
