Sweet!!! I have to work all day Friday. If it's in the stores on Friday, I may be able to get in Friday night, but most likely Saturday morning.

    Thanks walds :-)

I have been on that site for a while has a lot of news also sometimes before other sites I think.

Raton your right memory is a factor. Memory is more on the 8900. I might get it to test it out and see.

Good question, I don't know off the top of my head if it is faster or the same. I would guess faster. The 8900 is EDGE only with wifi.

The 8900 has a 512 MHz processor and the bold has a 624 MHz StrongARM processor and what I've read its the most powerful CPU for any handheld to date.

Do not forget the screen is smaller.

When I removed my 8900 from the box they very first thing I noticed is the screen size compared to my Bold. It looked as sharp and clean as the Bold's screen but a good bit smaller.

It is hard to go from the Bold to another device as the Bold is darn nice and hard to beat. I want the 8900 anyway, just to play with

oh long live the debate, faster proc or more memory haha.

smaller screen, with higher resolution. I doubt movies will appear much different on either the bold or the curve..

curve had more device memory right?

either of them side loading memory slots?

or button differences or that all the same?

maybe ill research it later, on my own if i get time

I wouldn't say that the bold is the faster phone hands down it just has the faster processor.

The bold has 128 mb of ram, the 8900 has 256 mb of ram.
The Bold does have 3G. The 8900 has EDGE. The bold with 3G pulls the data down quicker, but the 8900 with the more ram processes it more faster so they prolly even out.

Of course there are prolly other factors that weigh in, but Im not that much of a tech person so I cant say for certain.

You right Dot. I guess RIM took away to add. Lack of 3G for more RAM, etc. god point.
