I've got a vista desktop box in my office down the hall, an intel imac in my bedroom, and a xp laptop. Each have their strong points and weaknesses, but at the end of the day I can count on my imac to deliver without any issues.

My iMac is my media hub. I have my entire movie collection ripped to it, all of my photos, my entire music library, and it does it's job better than I think any of my other machines would.

Being a real estate appraiser, the software I use is only available on windows however. This is one major reason I don't feel like I will ever have a life without a windows box. Maybe linux will continue to gain strength!

I run a MBP. I was completely windows since 3.11 but after windows crashing and the deteriorating performance over time with a dell running windows I decided to switch. It does take a little bit to get used to but it was well worth it.

I run parallels because when I got the MBP 1-1/2 years ago VMWare wasn't that stable, or so I heard. I do some AV control programming and some AutoCAD, and they don't make a version for OSX, so I had to run windows virtualization. Parallels works great, but I wouldn't recommend it for gaming there is a lag and the graphic acceleration isn't the greatest... yet.... Now if you dual boot, I see no reason why you can't game on the MBP, I just don't know because I have never set it up.

I also have a Dell Desktop and my old Dell Inspiron laptop for my wife, but she will be upgraded in due time. Everything is XP tho, so at least that keeps my sanity in check not having to re-learn yet a new OS.

I use Macs...if you couldnt figure it out. I have a 17" Powerbook and Mac Mini that I use for work. For personal use I have a 20" iMac, a MacBook and a MacBook Air. My MacBook is running VMs with Xubuntu, for pleasure, and Vista, for the BBs.
