    i am trying to get an idea as to what are the better apps that i NEED for my new curve. suggestions please.

    I like beejive on my 8320 i think they have a new one for the 8900. Google Maps. Pinstack Launcher

    it all depends what you want to do with your BB

    i use the espn launcher, vlingo, viigo and facebook as well as the 3 kris mentioned

    3 must have ones for me are beejive, Beyond411 (free) and BBWeather (free)

    I have Opera Mini installed but so far on the 8900 ive just been using the stock browser

    Going to give Viigo a try.

    I wish there was a standalone YouTube app that provided better quality and navigation and didnt freeze my phone :-\

    for youtube have you tried: http://m.youtube.com ? it's not a standalone app, but the times i have tried watching youtube vids it has worked for me.

    I am... But I still end up preferring the built in browser... The bolt still seems a bit choppy to me... And yet I still have both the bolt and the opera mini incase I run into things the built in browser can't handle...

    ive tried using bolt. but its EXTREMLY slow. opera or the stock browser are better
