You may have to use the 3.5mm to 2.5mm converter. I haven't seen any 3.5 mono headsets. Are you opposed to BT?

So, are you saying that previous versions of the BlackBerry such as the Pearl used 2.5mm jack, I didnt know that as this is my first venture into the BB world. Is the jack in the Curve configured the same way as other BB devices, if I buy a 2.5mm headset and a convertor will that work?

Opposed to BT? Well each to their own, I'm not keen to be honest, have always preferred the wired type, you plug it in, it works, end of, no pairing/waiting etc. Plus I think one can look a bit of tit with a BT headset on.

    Regards

Previous BB devices were on the 2.5mm. The Curve has a 3.5mm (the same as a pair of stereo headphones) jack. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can use the 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter and then use any old wired headset. I hope this helps.

P.S. I'm not fond of the people wearing a BT 24/7. I use mine in the car and that's about it.

Yeah, they are available, we have them in our store. I've got 2 on the hook right now. No adapter needed.

Where can I get hold of one,are you selling them online.

If not, any info on the item would be appreciated, brand, price etc. Tried official BB shop today and they don't have any.

    Thanks

Don't have an online store but we have 2 of them(work in an AT&T agent store). I'll sell you one, price is $29.99 + Shipping. Pin me to work out details, my pin number is in my profile.

Yes, but for price of stereo one: blackberryking.com /blackberry-8300-corded-headset.htm $25
So you can buy original stereo stuff anywhere and cut off 1 ear

No problem. Look at the little down arrow next to my name to the left. It has a "PIN" number listed when you click the arrow. Now, go to your messages folder on your BB, hit "menu" and select "Compose PIN" and key in that "PIN" number in the "To" field, write your message, hit send, and I'll get it.
