I guess you give up one thing for another right? I moved from the Bold purely because of the size. I got the 8900 and its really really slow. I hate the fact that it takes forever for the phone to accept new items in the media card. I feel like I own an 8310 all over again. If the Bold wasn't so big I would totally go back to it but I do admit the auto focus on the 8900 is nice but I really don't take a whole lot of pictures.

Mine isn't slow about things showing up on the media card, its as fast as my 9000. The only diff I see is a slightly slower browser, and I do emphasize slightly. To me, this is acceptable because the added app memory more than makes up for it. I have 13-14 apps and still have OVER 100MB memory left. I would have run out long ago on my 9000.

Anyone know the latest on when AT&T will bring out the 3G Curve????? I'm keeping my Bold until a smaller B-berry with 3G comes out.

Can anyone that has both comment on screen resolution? I just put my 8900 beside a bold for the first time and was really surprised how much brighter and crisper my screen is! I know 8900 has higher res but I've read so much discounting the difference that I wasn't expecting it! Could it just be their settings or have others noticed this?

I have the 8900 w/ T-Mo its pretty nice. I'm still thinking af maybe getting a BOLD for they keyboard or I will just wait unril "The Driftwood" comes out for t-mo. I want a bigger keyboard but I love the size of my 8900. For now though I plan on keeping my 8900.

I found my 8900 to be crisper and brighter but also smaller.

To me the 8900 was just like my Bold except slower and smaller. You give up the larger keyboard and 3g. 3G is no big deal as my calls and email come in the same but there were times I did notice the 8900 was smaller (keyboard) and slower to respond. The biggest advantage of the 8900 is memory and the camera is WAY BETTER!

I can wait for the Oynx!

Bold out, 8900 is in ! Differences ? Yeah !
The 8900 is easier to carry around, somehow I feel the keyboard better, device memory is much better (resulting in the possibility of installing more applications without running into memory problems etc)
The downside - no 3G, although the extra time you have to wait for a download via GPRS is not significant.
I had a problem, sometimes, with the 9000 - the calls would end abruptly.
No such thing with the 8900.

same, I have both and I can type faster on the Bold, but the battery lasts a whole lot longer on the 8900 and the internet speed not that slow. Not like still being in SFO and you're already in LA

My hands must be bigger as I do text messages alot on the fly with one hand.

What is best is RIM is giving us all choice.

Am loving my 8900, coming from a pearl I could have never taken the size of the BOLD, but this is not too bad, and I am with Chokem on the memory-it rocks!
