alt + shift + del Same as Battery Pull?

Is alt+shift+del really equivalent to doing
a battery pull? If it is, it's a workaround
to having your background getting constantly
reset to the default after doing a physical
    battery pull.

Alt ,shift, delete is the same as a battery pull. If a battery pull causes you issues I would suggest turning off your device then doing the battery pull. Unless your device is frozen you should never just yank the battery out. That would be like pulling the cord on your PC and expecting everything to be ok.

That's funny. I always thought that way about
battery pulls just as you described, because
yes, our phones basically are little computers.
The not so funny thing is when the tmob store
reps would just pull your battery out of
your phone while it's still on. Happened twice
and it just made me cringe.

Anyway, thanks cowboy for confirming. I had a problem starting an
App and did the alt+shift+del method, then
noticed my background didn't reset to the default.
    Big thanks.

RIM recommends powering down first before a battery pull unless the device is unresponsive and that is your only choice. I have heard that it can cause data loss and other issues.

I had to call T-Mobile support for an issue with my berry. They told me to remove the battery and make sure it was still on when I did it. Hmmm. Isn't that something?
