    Does MSN,AIM,Yahoo, etc all the messaging clients use the DATA plan or would any messages sent be counted as text messages? PS. using tmobile

    I believe the ones you mentioned above use data.via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    They RIM ones use data. There was a Tmo client, OZ, that uses sms. Its not very good tho. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    Yes it is i saw it in the tmobile store last time i went there. They are practically the same phones the 8320 and 8120.

    The 8100 pearl, and older devices, were able to use OZ instant messenger which did work off of sms. All devices newer than that MUST have a data plan (internet) to function.

    The newer O/S's have gone to using the native IM clients. It's just another step closer of the blackberry becoming a computer
