yeah the water was kinda gross; however there were no visible anythings during the whole cleaning process.... i know that doesn't mean that there is nothing deeper in; however, it gives me reason to hope.

    good visual progress!

When the phone entered into the rice stage of its medical procedures there was some visible condensation on the inside of the screen.

After about 8 hours so far in the rice the condensation is no longer visible inside the screen. could simply have moved but at least something is happening!

    sOoOooOOOO major update here

I tried putting the battery in about 5 hours ago. Upon first power up the phone seemed to act normal during power up. there was obvious damage to the screen, but it seems more like residual condensation, all pixels were working (normal white screen with hourglass) then it booted up into the OS just fine, then it hit me with a ton of vibrates.... (lots of emails and calls and txts, so they were expected) so i got really excited.... then the phone locked... like normal (normal boot up lock) and then i tried to hit a button, to no response. Not a single button worked on the phone. (including side buttons) i tried rebooting several times to no avail. phone responded normally to phone calls and everything... basically normal phone but i could not interact. so i got really pissed off, pulled out battery and left the phone, and went to work out. came back and still same problem, so i got more pissed off, bought a case of beer and drank a lot of it during monday night football down at the fraternity house(all while phone and battery disconnected)..................................... ......

    thennnnnn i come back!!!! AND
i am like well wat the hell might as well try it,

and lo and behold, phone boots up normally and all keys work!

go figure. however there is still some kind of weird background disturbance on the screen, nothing too bad, like phone and txt and stuff still deffinately readable, but hey....

sooooo the moral of the story? you might ask.

Go buy a case of natural light and everything else will work itself out!!!

    (p.s i apologize for spelling)

Try this if you see any moisture gathering inside device: Place nightly in zip-lock w/silicon gel packs(found mostly w/ new shoes, electronic items...), a napkin, diaper, "pad"...anything that will absorb moisture. This can be a lengthy process if moisture is trapped in device. Good luck.
