I broke my 8800 and decided to replace it with the 8300. I need to travel overseas and need to unlock the phone. Any advice or direction on this? i did a google search and a gang of various websites came up...with prices ranging from 6.99 to 120. Just looking for advice. Thanks in advance.

What carrier are you on? Usually your carrier will unlock the device for you if you call and ask, you may need to have service for 90 days atleast and in good standing. I know that AT&T and TMO do it for their customer's.

I would highly suggest GSM Phone Source. It was $20 for my AT&T Curve. I had a very quick turn around and it has worked great. Here is the link: GSM Phone Source
