Question Ack, no clue what this icon is!

I was using the blackberry appworld and downloaded/installed Viigo. It then rebooted on it's own, and is now stuck on a screen with a tiny icon that looks like a rectangle with a circle, square, and triangle in it with a cross through it. The font is so tiny I can't make out what it says. I know I saw this on my 8320 before and fixed it, but I can't remember how.

So, how do I get this to show on the Desktop Launcher so I can get the offending app out? Or is there another way to fix this? This is the first big problem I've had with my 8900 :-(

Sorry, sounds like a 507 error (corrupt or no operating system installed). I would suggest you simply try re-installing your device operating system. For more info look HERE

Almost looks like the writing may say Reset Software (next word unreadable).

Well....solution is the same. Your OS has become corrupt and you need to reload your device operating system. Its not too tough but I hope you have a recent back up as likely your data in gone....

The link in the thread you pointed me to does not have the correct link to the OS in it...it leads to a thread about "blackberry goes to the Carribean"....

Followed and am now getting the message: No Software upgrade is required for your device, but still have that same icon on the screen...

Have you deleted the vendor.xml file?

Try using the app loader and see what happens. Otherwise you will need to use JLCmdr to wipe the device.

I think it's finally going to cooperate...I didn't have to delete the .xml file because I used the one from Tmobile.com. I had to reinstall all the blackberry apps and it's rebooting now. It also said there was an update...just wondering if I should use it after all this fun *gulp*
