    About to Order 8900

I am about to order my 8900, but I wanted some feedback on how its acting for all of you that have gotten it early. I have seen some threads talking about random resets and such, and I don't want to spend $199 for a random reset machine.

Also, when I bought my 8320 and used the case that came with it, I noticed the lines it put on my Curve. Kind of looked like a "Y." Do you guys prefer hip holsters, like the horizontal one? Or do you prefer just cases, like Seidios?

    Thanks all.

Mine's been running smoothly so far, knock on wood. I think they got the issues ironed out early this time.

I like mine so far too. It has been running good. It is much faster than the 8320 and looks great too.

    Love it!

I've had the 8900 since late last week. I love it!! It is faster then any other blackberry I've ever used (and I've used just about every model since the 1st color 7230 including the Storm, but have not used the Bold) and this one is great!

I have not had a single issue so far. I did upgrade to the 4.6.1.133 floating around out there (for no other reason other then just knowing it is out there and I "had" to have it).

Menus are fast, trackball seems a lot better then the Curve's and Pearl's, WIFI and UMA calling is better then sliced bread (and a must in my Tmo blackhole I live in). Telenav work as well as it did on my old Sprint 8330/8130.

My only complaint, as first discovered with my VZ Storm, is the camera. The stupid autofocus makes taking quick snap shots a complete pain. It takes at least 2 seconds for the bb to focus before the picture is snapped. On that same note, at least the picture quality makes up for the slow picture taking.

As far as battery life, it is so-so. But I thought the same with the Storm, but after a few days/weeks of using it, it seemed to get better and more reliable.

    Good luck... you'll enjoy it.

Being it a Rogers and T-Mobile BB, You're more likely to get a great phone. I know that T-Mobile sucks as far as alot of OS updates but the ones they do release are pretty rock solid. I used the same T-Mobile OS on my 8800 for well over a year. Never had a problem with it.

I've tried a few times but no luck, apparently the folks having success getting them are upgrades not new lines like my family and I would be. That said I'm impatiently waiting for Feb 11th and hope the random "my 8900 resets itself" threads are in the minority. Not many issues to speak of and the OS seems rather stable very early on. The latest beta .133 has gotten very favorable reviews.

Ranx gave it a very positive review, as has Hayden. It looks like my next Blackberry :-)

Go for it. 8900 is the best bb so far.just remember to upgrade to 133 .
As far as choices of cases go, I prefer to carry my jav naked and maybe change the housing once it gets badly scratched~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
