    A few questions about tethering

I'm a t-mobile user with an unlocked AT&T curve 8300. I have no problem tethering with EDGE network. Just curious if I can still connect to the internet with edge or gsm network.

Today I received a MMS from a friend while I was tethering and when I tried to retrieve the MMS, I got disconnected. Have you guys experienced any similar problem? Btw, that MMS was blank thanks to t-mobile.

yeah you can tether with GSM or EDGE, GSM would be a slower speed, usually 28.8k-56k and EDGE would be speeds up to about 115kbs/second.

I have use to tether to my laptop a year ago. but if you get a call, or have toi retrieve an mms it'll disconnect you because it needs the data service now to retrieve the mms. Usually wait until when you're done to try to retrieve the mms

Key detail that needs to be pointed out. You need to make sure that it is EDGE and GSM not edge and gsm. The lowercase forms have no data.
