    90-day Calendar Limit

    Hey folks,

I searched for this topic and found one entry. (There were probably others. My fu fail.) This person wound up having to wipe the phone and start all over! :-(

I have an 8310 and whenever I hookup for synchronization, the software wants to delete calendar entries older than 90 days old. I honestly don't care whether they're deleted on the Blackberry, but it wants to delete them in Outlook as well! Yuck!

I am looking for a solution to prevent this. Here are the details:

    Desktop version: 4.2.2.14
    BB8310: v4.2.2.170

The calendar option in the phone is turn to keep all entries. I forget the wording.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers,

    m

Have you tried changing your settings on your bb? If you haven't, you may want to do that. To change the settings on your bb, go to your calendar, press the bb button (the one with the dots), scroll down to OPTIONS, scroll down to KEEP APPOINTMENTS, scroll the 90 days to FOREVER, if you haven't done so already. Then save those settings.

Yeah, it's set, but it was not initially setup this way. I set it to that then tried to immediately re-sync and it still wanted to delete. (Perhaps I needed to disconnect? Or I needed to restart the BB?)

Hmm, I don't think there is a way to change that on your DM unless you're using a Mac, but I could be wrong. I know that I am given the option of what to sync when I sync my bb to my mac. Let me take a look at my dm on my windows computer. I'll get back to you as soon as I check so I don't provide you false info.

Try changing the advanced settings for conflicts in Desktop Manager / Sync Configuration for your calendar to "outlook wins" and see if that helps.....

Here is a link to a patch that will keep your calendar until you manually delete each entry
