Ugh, the escape and app keys simply suck.

    Too much force is needed.

    I'm returning it.

    lol.

So much for patience, I just can't stand the new keys!

Oh, and having the usb RIGHT next to my typing finger is truly lame.

How can RIM not recognize these things during development?

What the eff????????? Do they not care?

I don't think anyone here is really honest about this devices' shortcomings.

Its ok to not like it.

I have it here sitting at my desk charging and when its such a PITA having the cord next to keys on the right hand side.

This alone has made me disown it.

Keep in mind this is my first Curve.

I've been a very happy 8100 owner for 2 years.

I can't add BBM contacts, and all the other quirks have me bummen.

    O well.

I wanted to like it, I deed I deed!

The only thing that's keeping me at this point from switching to the iphone is the lack of free GPS apps and cut and paste lol. Those are the only reasons why I'm still clinging to my bb

Joedali I have a feeling that if you keep it a couple more days you'll get attached

You have to realize that going from a Pearl to a Curve is going to take some getting used to. I had an 8120 and switched to the Curve, but at first it was hard to get used to and I would switch back and forth. After I got used to the Curve, I started to use it more and more and my poor Pearl was left in the dust. It is all a matter of getting used to the different form factor.

There are plenty of reviews that give the gripes with the goods. Sure, there are problems, but they're not THAT BIG OF A DEAL for most people. I don't like the positioning of the charger port, but most of us can live with it.

The BBM problem may be just today, there are a few threads stating that BBM might be down for some reason. Also.. you both do have BIS on your phone lines, right?

It really depends on what difference you're looking for. I loved my 8100, except I was getting tired of suretype. I wanted qwerty, but I didn't want something big like the Bold. The 8320 was going to be my choice until I heard the 8900 was coming out. For me, the 8900 size is just perfect, since I loved the "smallness" of the pearl. Other than that, everything about the 8900 is an absolute step up from the 8100 (camera, speed, etc).

One thing really sucks is I can't add my gf to BBM.

She sticks in constant pending more.

Seen this before, can never fix.

    Any ideas?
She probably doesn't have the blackberry data plan added to her service.
