Question 8320 with BIS... any VPN possibility?

    Hey,
I have been reading around on the forums and it seems the only way to get VPN to work is to have BES on the other side of the VPN.

I am wanting to connect to my university's VPN, which of course has no BES.

Is there a way to get the VPN to work without BES? Is there a 3rd party VPN client that will work?

    Thanks
    - Jackson

Re: 8320 with BIS... any VPN possibility?

    to clarify i bit...
I am able to connect to the University wifi. The University uses website redirection to make you login using your campus u/n and p/w when you first use your device on your network. To get this to work I had to go on campus, turn off the mobile network (key step), direct my page to the address (IP) of the registration page and register my device (basically register my MAC address) on the network. So now wifi works... but UMA calling does not.

Most ports are block on the WiFi, but they are not when connected via VPN. So my thoughts were that if I was able to connect to the VPN I would stand a better chance of UMA calling possibly working. The VPN would also allow me to view certain webpage only viewable when on the "on-campus" network.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
