8320 Wifi causing IP address conflict
I just got a linksys wrt54g wireless router, and got it setup fine. So I set up my 8320 for its wifi, and put in the key, and it connected and the UMA popped up, but the second it did my computer came up with a message saying "there is an IP address conflict with another system on the network" I dont know if this is a problem with the router, or the phone, or my pc, both are still connected, but that error message pops up ever 10 seconds. Any ideas?
Make sure that you have DHCP turned on, that could be the problem.
Let us know if that fixes it.
it's always greener with the other carrier...
Everything is fine now, while going through linksys forums on that error message I read some things to do, restart pc, router, and modem, did all that, now everything is working fine, thanks for the reply tho.
You may want to go ahead and change the number of leases and/or the time the leases are available in the dhcp pool.
Its a good thing it didnt kill your device. useually wth IP conflicts it kills one device and freaks the second out
