    8320 Random Restart Problems

    Hey all,
I am having a problem with my 8320 running the latest TMobile OS.

It seems that the phone randomly restarts every now and then. It has happened once during a call, but other times when nothing is going on at all phone-wise. I just look down at the phone and see the hour glass on a white screen as it does its full restart.

    Any ideas?

I don't think it would be a memory shortage. I have 14megs of free memory, and am not losing any call logs or messages.

Thanks for any help you can provide... and Happy Thanksgiving!

    -Jackson

you could always try and downgrade to a diff os or even do a complete wipe of the phones os and reload it from scratch

    Re: 8320 Random Restart Problems

I will try reloading the OS with no apps and see what happens. It happens at random intervals though... maybe once in a week, sometimes twice in a day. It might be hard to tell.

The apps I am running are
    Opera (latest)
Google Services (gmail, maps, news, search) (latest)
    Berry411 (latest)
    Facebook (latest)
    Windows Live Search (latest)
    Pinstack Launcher
    ESPN Launcher

Think it could be any of these??? I will try reloading OS later today. Thanks for the quick responses so far.

I had some restart problems on my pearl when I had the facebook application on my device. And I never had windows live. Try taking off the facebook app and see if your situation improves. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I have had this problem happen to me once before. I wasn't overloading or running excessive programs either, it just decided to restart. Luckily, nothing was erased or destroyed. I just shrugged it off.

Yep, happened to me a few times as well. All different situations, no known explanation on why it restarted.

    Me Too!

My phone has re-booted at least once a day for the last week or so. I don't have many outside vender applications that are loaded and nothing has been loaded recently.

I will call T-Mob next week when I am home!

I was having the same problem when i loaded the 4.5 os beta.... it was rebooting like every 15 seconds.... The problem had something to do with the Media Card, cause when i turned off Media Card support, problem fixed.... I formatted the card but that didnt fixed the problem... and i cant live without my music so i just went back to 4.2....
Cause' Im Bout' it Bout' it....
