~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~i wonder when the 9XXX series is coming. I mean I buy every new blackberry and I use the crap out of them so by the time another new one comes out I'm going to need a new one anyway

I say go for the 8320. My previous BB was an 8700g and this is definately major upgrade. I like that I can go to my friends house (where I normally get zero cell service), connect to his wifi and get perfect reception for data and voice. I am going to start pushing all my friends, who have poor service in their house, to get wifi and a 8320. Totally worth it!!!

I'd wait for 9xxx

I've upgraded to 8300 from 8700 and all that did was add a lil bit of sexy to me...

Yeah 8300 is nice... But the 8700 still is too...

id wait.

the 9xxx series has to be off the chain and why fix something that isnt broken? if your device is in good shape and you're happy with it, i say stick to it.

Ummmm anyone have any idea what's supposed to be with the 9XXX??? Looks? Percs? I think people are just guessing at this point.
Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?

the 9xxx series has dragons that spawn from the push of a button, I heard this from Hayden...lol
but in all seriousness, I think I will skip the 8320, and go for the Pearl 2.0 Komet when it drops for TMO.
I have come to love suretype and the size of the Pearl.

Re: 8320 or tough it out for 9xxx

the pearl 2 seems like a little cutie!

but why wait for the 9xxx? speculation, i guess.

its safe to assume that the device will be amazing.

just look at precedent, we've already come to the point with the 8310 that we have gps, edge, and a camera in one phone. who's to say the 9xxx series wont have the same except for wi-fi instead of edge. that....is one hell of a bb.

so as for switching? id save my upgrade credit for a device that will rock my socks off.

Re: 8320 or tough it out for 9xxx

i thought this was interesting while looking up specs for the 9xxx series. the boygenius has never let me down so.....

1. The 9xxx series will have 3G
2. The 9xxx series will support a full backup and restore to microSD card!
3. Not sure if this is just Cingular, probably all major carriers but BIS 3.0 will be rolled out at the 9xxx launch
4. It will have a new processor
5. The 9xxx series will have a completely new UI
6. The 9xxx series is scheduled to be released Q4 on Cingular
http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2007/...0-9xxx-series/

and another ....

extremely early reports coming in show the upcoming BlackBerry 9900, tentatively due out late 2007 (possibly early 2008; possibly earlier), will have a screen resolution of 384×288. This will give the new device a larger viewing area and/or a sharper image but will remain with the same aspect ratio of the 320×240 devices, such as the 8800 and 8700. The device will run OS 5.0.0 at the time of launch, although it may vary as the year moves on. Aside from those bits of information, there’s really not much else known at this point in time. I will confirm that the BlackBerry 9900 does, in fact, exist on the Planet Earth. This is not, however, the consumer-targeted BlackBerry 9100 series device that promises to revolutionize the BlackBerry world, or so says our young intellectual piloting the Starship BGR Enterprise Galaxy II. Then again, the corporate types may just explode with joyous jubilation when the BlackBerry 9900 finally surfaces. I’m expecting we’ll see the 9900 series release prior to the long-anticipated debut of the 9100 series devices, but don’t quote me.
