My contract is up in October, and I only have the data plan for 29.99. If I upgrade, will I be charged the new $40 stand alone price plan? That would stink.....

No, from my understanding, once you choose a plan they have to honor it until you switch. Our family, for instance, has unlimited text messaging on all four lines for $19.99/month.

Oh ok good, cuz in August I went from the data plan,to phone plan, back to data plan....don't ask. But last I heard I was still at 29,99.

So I can actually upgrade today by web? I don't need to call a rep? Yesterday on the phone a rep told me to call back Monday...

I would rather get it directly from a local store

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~can someone (preferably a tmo rep) explain how the whole upgrade thing works because I looked online and tmo has the curve for for $249.99 but then I went through the upgrade link and it cost $449 this doesn't make sense to me, its almost as if the penalize me for being a tmo customer but a new customer can walk in off the street and get it for $200 less, I don't understand

I ordered my Titanium Curve yesterday from TMO website.
I too got it for $249 w/mail in rebate, and I had just upgraded in Feb. 07 whenI got my Pearl.

Re: 8320 on TMobile's Website for Upgrade

Anybody familiar with what type of upgrade package I'd qualify for... my situation is this: The last phone I purchased directly through t-mobile was a nokia 61something in Nov/Dec 2005, I then purchased a slightly used pearl in March of 2007 directly from a friend that works at a cell phone store in a mall. My bill was in my mothers name until March when I bought the blackberry 8100. When I switched the bill into my name I believe it may have reset the upgrade eligibility on my contract...

if anybody out there is a tmobile rep or has any idea please let me know, I love my pearl but I am curious to see if the curve is something I'd like as well
