8320 battery draining fast with no use

In the last week or so I have noticed my battery draining to empty with no use in less than one day?! The only difference I can see is that I have a facebook icon that was not there before. I am assuming that something (an application Im guessing) is hogging my battery just sitting in my pocket. How can I track this down and shut it down if this is the case? Or is it something else?

Hold ALT + Escape(right of trackball)

there should be 5 default programs running...Homescreen, phone, messages, BBmessenger, Browser.

You may have some 3rd party apps that need to run also, but most can be terminated.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~also make sure ur wifi isn't turned on. This seems to drain my battery a lot when left on.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~Is bluetooth on, as this drains battery as well, especially when wifi is on at the same time? Sounds like a good time to do a full reboot to clear all cache and set the systen up from start.

Are you saying that you can receive emails/calls/text in standby mode?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ Try a different battery. www.seidioonline.com has extended batteries.

If you use the escape key(left of the trackball) usually it will close the application. This is application dependent though.

If you use the end call key(red phone) it will usually put the application into the background still running.

There is no application like the one your requesting. There is really no need for it. You just have to do it your self. Sorry.

if you aren't actually using your device that much in one day, then i would try a day w/out the wifi and see how it goes. if you still are having the same short battery life, go for a new battery. sounds like a bad batt. are you in a good coverage area most of the day? poor coverage and constantly searching for a better connection can have as much effect on battery life as anything.

This same thing just happened to me today... I have no 3rd party applications running, no wi-fi or anything. I had the facebook issue too but I deleted it out of my apps and it hasn't come back. I'm on TMO... don't know if this is an issue with them or if my battery is just fried. It has never done anything like this before.

Do you use AIM? If so make sure to log it off if you aren't using it. I left mine logged in one day and the battery was dead 12 hours later. That's the one and only time mine did that.
