    8310 replaces 8100 tomorrow

    Hi Guys,
my new 8310 should be with me in the morning to replace the Pearl i've been using for the last 12 months.
Just hoping i've made the right decision to switch.
Has anyone else made the switch from a pearl, and what main differences should i expect in day to day use?

    Cheers,
    Mark

I switched from a Pearl to the Curve 8310 and never looked back. I hate suretype, you gonna love your new 8310!!

I went from a Pearl to an 8300 and now an 8310. The biggest difference for me other than the keyboard is the OS speed, especially when accessing the media card. My old Pearl would sit there forever until it finally open the files. Both Curves have been much faster and built in GPS on the 8310 is awesome (just give the GPS plenty of time to initialize the 1st time, you may have to go outside in the open and plenty of time could be as much as 10 to 15 min.) Once 1st initialization is over it connects much faster.

    Great choice, great device!

    Happy Berrying!

Went from Pearl to Curve 8310 and have never regreted the switch. The main difference for me is obviously the keyboard.

You won't regret it I've shifted from 8100 due to suretype. Now am pretty happy with 8300. You and your 8310 will be an awesome experience. Enjoy your Curve

I did the same and have never regretted it!
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, some1 said 2 thmslvs "U knw, I really want 2 set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close engh to get the job done".

    AW: 8310 replaces 8100 tomorrow

    Hi guys,

Got me shiny new 8310 about 10ish this morning Initial thoughts were ‘How f%$king big is that thing!’. But after laying my 8100 on top of it I realise that it is a lot smaller than it actually looks.
After half a days use all seems well. I’m having to get used to the qwerty after my pearl but it’s not too bad so far, and I’ve got to say I’m very impressed with all the keyboard shortcuts.
Going to have a proper play with the camera and GPS tonight, and update the OS as DM keeps saying it can’t find the correct applications when I try and upload themes.
But so far I’m impressed and glad I changed over

    Re: 8310 replaces 8100 tomorrow

Originally I had the 8700 and I loved the extended keyboard. Then, I got a Pearl and loved the size, but hated typing on it. Later, I switched to a 8300, which I am currently using right now. I love that thing. However, today, I'm going ot get a 8310. Hehe...
