8310 - how do you open a file saved on your BB?

    Hello,

Maybe a stupid question, but I have looked and looked and I can't figure it out!

I have saved a couple different files in a new folder I created on my media card and I can't figure out how to view the files on my device. I can attach a file to an email, but can't open it.

I have no problem opening attachments from emails when I am emailed a file.

Excluding music, ringtones, pictures, I am speaking about documents, pdfs, etc...

    Thanks for your help.

Welcome, the Blackberry can open Docs sent as Emails. unfortunately PDFs it still will not open, ( There maybe 3rd party software that will change that) But putting Docs or and file other then Media on the Memory card, which is called By RIM a Media card. It is limited to things the BB will open, Mp3s, Videos, and pictures, Any file made on the device out side of the 4 folders formatted by the blackberry can only be accessed by, clinking on media, hitting the menu key then clicking Explore. Still will not be able to Open Docs and such though. You can store filed Like a Jump drive, Just can't open them. Hope this helps!

If you have os 4.5 you also get docs to go then you can open ms office docs and edit them too.

    Hi Josh, welcome to PinStack!

This probably wasn't the best place to have posted this issue, but the first question I would ask you is if you are using a bluetooth headset.
