Prior to my upgrading to the 8310 I had both yahoo messenger and yahoo to go installed on my 8300 and working fine. As mentioned above though JiveTalk is the way to go. It gives you AIM, Yahoo, Google Talk, ICQ, Jabber and Windows Live all in the same place. The next upgrade is supposed to add MySpace messenger too.

As Lava said above the 8310 does appear to be built much more solidly than the 8300. I no longer have the squeeky/loose feel that I had on the right side of the keyboard and the keys themselves feel much more solid.

I loved my 8300 but I am in love with my 8310, lol. Either way you can't go wrong in my book.
