    8300 radiation levels

What are the SAR values for 8300 and where does it stand within the other cellphones?

I also realized curve is causing a lot more static on my car radio and other landline phones.

from cnet.com -- "According to FCC radiation tests, the BlackBerry 8300 has a digital SAR rating of 1.51 watts per kilogram." I don't know how that compares to other phones.

I also get interference if my curve is too close to my laptop. it also interferes with my clock radio.

    Thanks soctechnologist,
Ahh, i knew it. I think increased static with car radio and other phones is a sign of high SAR levels. That's just what I thought.

I think I should keep it out of my pocket as much as possible...

yeah, guess I'm glad I didn't get rid of that case afterall... the way the static effects surrounding electronics can't be a good sign!

I work in the medical field with radiation. Believe me when I say that under no circumstances will your BB cause you any ill effects by means of radiation dose. The specific type of radiation it puts out is classaified as "non-ionizing". Which means, when it passes through an object (i.e. human tissue) there is no interaction between the electrons from the radiation, and the electrons within the human tissue. There is absolutely nothing dangerous about the radiation emitted from any cell phone.

My old pearl caused the same amount of interference with my other devices as my new curve does. Just learned to move it away from the computer speakers if I want to watch something...

T mobile. And for the record I don't think I was complaining, merely stating an observation.

If you have a GSM phone it will cause that interference you are hearing in your speakers.
