    4GB MicroSD and the 8300

The RIM website says that the 8300 will take MicroSD cards and "the amount of storage is determined by card capacity". This review confirms that a pre-production 8300, took a new 4GB MicroSD card and worked well:

Do we know if the 8300 is supposed to be generally SDHC-compliant? Or do we just know of this specific instance of a 4gb card working?

Not sure if it is, however IF it is SD HC compliant, Samsung is releasing an 8gb MicroSD HC card soon!

Re: 4GB MicroSD and the 8300

For those of you that may be looking for the 4gb Micro SD card, here is a link to Verizon's website. You may need to enter your zip code to get to the page.

I can confirm that it is compatible with the Blackberry 8830. I have not tested it on any other Blackberrys or Cell phones.

Scoll to the bottom of the page.

Let me know if you have any issues with the link.

    Enjoy.

Nice, thanks for the link (it's a SanDisk 4gb for $100 for those that may not be able to follow it right now)

Here is another link I just found online: http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4159987
it is for a Coby 4gb microSD card for $40. Doesn't say anything about being the MicroSDHC. Never heard of the brand but thought I'd post it for anyone interested.
