I have seen this problem with some themes, try going to one of the original themes and see if it goes away. You might even try a hard reset, Alt + right shift + Del

Okay, so when you move your trackball over each envelope, does it show the e-mail address for the associated envelope at the bottom of the screen?

Are there only two envelopes, one for each of your e-mail accounts?

You should have a separate icon for each e-mail account. When you scroll over each icon, it will show you the e-mail address for that icon at the bottom of the screen.

Okay, but do you see a THIRD icon that is your Main Messages folder, ie when you scroll over it, it displays "Messages" at the bottom of the screen? If NOT, then that folder is hidden.

Also, did you clear your call log? You might be able to go into each call, view the history for that number and find the culprit.

Doesn't hurt to try that, but I wouldn't go crazy and get an iPhone because of a silly missed call indicator! It WILL eventually go away. Plus, if you back everything up and then wipe the handheld, you can reload what you wiped.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

So is this a missed call icon or is it a message Icon.

Two totally different things. If its the message icon then you can do the whole mark prior opened or else you can use your Desktop manager and erase all the messages off.

If its the actual missed call icon then you will need to access the call log and then go down to the missed call and access the menu and the select view history. That will remove the icon.

If you've already deleted you call log then you're SOL. You may have to reload the OS to get rid of it.

Check the stickies for the MINIFAQ thread there are directions for this in there.

    Good luck.

Ok, well I guess that is my fault.

Just a thought, aren't the call logs in a complete backup? Could it be possible to restore just the call log and find the one missed call that way to clear it? Unless you did not do a recent backup....

I've had that happen to me before. I've had the missed call thing keep on flashing when I didn't have a missed call. I've also had the missed email/mms/sms thing flash even though I didn't have any unread msgs. Anyhow, I found that this may have been a memory problem. I cleared my event log, cleared my internet cache and then did a battery pull. I kept the battery out of my bb for about a minute and when I put the battery back in, the thing was gone. Every now and then, this still happens to me, but a battery pull has been doing the trick. I wonder why you're bb is not responding to same...
