options > advanced options > media card > turn media card support on, and mass storage mode on.

Now you can by pass roxio media manager, and you're PC will recognize the mem card in the BB as an external hard drive. Drag and drop all day long!

Re: 1 gb chip not working it seems

    Lets take run at this....
    Possible Solutions:
    1. Card not propery seated - Remove and reinstall the media card.
    2. Media Card Support enabled?
    3. Media Card not formated - See Post # 4 above
    4. Mass Storage Enabled?

With a formated card and Mass Storage enabled your desktop should see the sd card as a removable drive (check under My Computer). In this environment you can copy files directly to the card without using the Media Manager applicaiton. Please note that while connected in Mass Storage Mode your device (phone) will not have access to the media card.

Honestly the blackberry has proven to be a bit finicky about some of the cheaper sd cards. If the above steps do not work test your sd card if possible by connecting directly to your desktop.

    Hope this helps!

Agreed - SanDisk seems to be most reliable for our uses...

i ALWAYS recommend SanDisk. yes they are on the 'cheaper' side but they have been around for so long that they can sell them for a lower price while still having excellent performance IMO
