Where to buy unlocked vodafone storm?

I just bought a bold paid full price, but if the unlocked version of the storm isn't that much more expensive.I might be interested in purchasing that unlocked instead.

Does anyone know where I can buy one of these? I checked on vodafone's website, but didn't find any good information.

As far as I know the storm is a CDMA only device that will need to be flashed to work with another carrier. Unfortunately because CDMA devices do not use SIM Cards as a primary you cannot get them to connect to a carrier that uses a sim card as a primary connection tool. If you need a more detailed explanation let me know and I would be more than happy to explain it to you.

The Storm(9530) is CDMA and GSM. It has two bands fro EVDO Rev A, and it has quadband GSM.
To the OP, if you look through some of the other threads this has been discussed many times. The 9500(all GSM) will definitely work on T-Mobile. Technically, the 9530 will work on T-Mobile as well as long as you can get the NA GSM bands unlocked.

Yeah I meant the vodafone one, not the verizon 9530. I want the 9500. Is there any links to websites selling the phone unlocked?

I think Storm, I think VZW.... I haven't heard rumors that RIM is manufacturing separate models that are GSM/EDGE. Good to know thanks for the info!

Yes the 9500 is GSM only. The 9530 is CDMA and GSM. Other than that and carriers theres not much difference.

Hate to get off topic, but Rogers support dept has finished hands-on training, and are expecting to release the 8900 early to mid-december.

what i don't really understand is all the hate that Verizon grabs...why go through so much hastle for a device when it would be easier (and cheaper) to switch carriers. Its not like they don't have the broadest coverage with the fastest overall network speeds.... (yes the salesman part comes out at times..sorry)

Storm or Jav? Jav or Storm? Man this is too hard to decide... Anyway so it's confirmed the 9500 has been released?
    Device history: 8100 > 8320 > 8900 & 9530. Keep crackin'
