Question Very Odd GPS problem on Storm

So, I've been using Google Latitude for a few weeks, and I love the app...the addition of GPS support just made it that much better...or so I thought.

This is an interesting problem. I can get a GPS lock pretty quickly, but for some reason, it locates me as being in Mississippi. I'm in Ohio, so, I would say it's a little inaccurate.

At first, I thought it was the app, but I went to BBMaps, got a lock, and it puts me in Mississippi as well! This is the oddest thing I've ever seen with a GPS of any sorts. Even at low signal, with only 3 satellites, it should still have me somewhere within a few hundred feet of my actual location.

So my question is, do any of the GPS apps available for free allow you to view your satellite information, such as sat numbers, lat/ long, altitude, etc? I know spot for BB used to do it, but I don't even know if it is available for the Storm, and definitley not for free. I have a feeling that my coordinate numbers are being transposed or reported wrong somehow.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm currently doing the hybrid upgrade to .103/ .106, and I'm hoping that might help as well.

I noticed something odd also. My sister is located in a completely different state when yesterday all my contacts were fine. This is odd.

go into you options and turn off the GPS function. then turn it back on. Best if done outside to get a better lock and faster. Happened on my 8310 and this fixed it. Good luck.

It's looks like upgrading the OS resolved the issue. Pinpoint accuracy, even inside my house. Thanks guys!

Google maps does this to me when it trangulates me using cell towers, and ends up putting me about 300 km from where I reall am... But as soon as the gps picks up, im fine...

Im in Ohio, and I wish it would show me and actually teleport me to somewhere warm. Anybody know of an app for that?
