    Unlocked Storm 9530 worth it?

Well what people think... With the 9520 around the corner, the 9530 worth it? I want to use it on AT&T network and I know the Unlocked 9520 will be at $+1000. Also I know AT&T is working on the 3G network and EDGE will be history. I can trade my Unlocked Bold for an Unlocked 9530, but is a good deal? I know I can sell the 9530 if I dont like it...

No, IMHO, it's a complete waste of money. I can't explain all of the reasons why, but I'm just telling you. Not only will the software be much more stable at release, unlike the 9530, you'll be able to use AT&T's 3G with the 20.

If you don't mind going without 3g I say yes. The storm is a great phone. Its a even swap so no out of pocket expense. Plus resale is high for any storm. You could sell 9530 for more than you can sell your bold, and put the money towards the 9520 if you wanted. Its actually more profitable.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

1 yes 1 no. Lol bet that didn't help. If you plan getting the 9520 then the storm is a smart choice because as I stated before you'll get more money for the phone. BTW 4.7.0.76 is stable. Trust me the storm IS a good phone.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

lol One (1) No and two (2) Yes. the only problem is that the no was Crucial... Damn you!!!
Well, I was thinking about resale. In the US the resale difference is not too big. But in Puerto Rico is a little bit more. No Verizon here.

Why is it relevant that theres no Verizon ? Its unlocked so regardless people will be using them on GSM networks.

i think he means that because there is no VZ, there are way less storms available! Therefore higher value

thats what i figured but he made it sound like the 9530 would resale for less than the 9520.
I think its safe for you to get an unlocked 9530 now. Enjoy it. And when the 9520 is out, if you miss 3G resale it (for more than you would have sold your Bold) and get an unlocked 9520.

The 9520 is a true GSM world phone. It will work in every country on EDGE. It will also work in every country on HSPA. The 9530 cannot say that. But for those on GSM carriers, the ability to have 3G(European & NA/SA UMTS/HSPA) access no matter what country you go to, IMHO, is big. And there are other reasons, but I'm not a liberty to say. Although, I believe the above reason, is enough.

Again it all comes down to if you need 3G or not and if the countries you will visit SUPPORT 3G networks.

Don't get me wrong i'll probably sell my storm and get the new one, but my point is if your gonna trade up then do so with a more valuble phone to begin with. You'll spend less in the end.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
