Question Unlocked Blackberry Storm Aol Instant Messenger App

    Hey Fellow Stackers !

I finally got an unlocked Storm and Am loving it but I need an app for my Aol Instant Messenger I Tried using the one that is on the phone and it cam up with an error saying (service Not available for this device) I have a blackberry storm with T mobile service and my previous BB i used Beejiive I don't know if Beejiive even works on the storm but if there is any alternative app for AIM I NEED IT... Even if I have to pay for it thats fine I just need an APP for AIM that is compatible with the storm since this AIM on here seems to not be working... I don't like the interface of the AIM on BB's so an alternate APP would be helpful...

    Thanks Again Guys !

Have you tried instango... There's a link for it right under the "post quick reply" button if you're using the pinstack wap site to reply to threads like I am... Not sure if its storm compatible, just a suggestion...

Ok, just clicked in to check and YES, they have a version for OS 4.7... That's all you stormers out there...

Try it... I've got instango as well... Pretty decent interface too...

That AIM app will work you just have to force load the service books on to your Storm.

First, make sure you've tried the latest RIM version of AIM.

BeeJive says they'll have a Storm compatible version soon. It's an excellent IM client, and since you've already paid for it, look to go back to it when it's available.

In the mean time, if the RIM client doesn't cut it for you, you can try eBuddy, EQO, InstaGo, Palringo, or WebMessenger.

Links for all in my Mini Version Tracker list (link in signature).

BTW, I personally use the RIM IM Clients (all major networks supported) because I like the way they integrate with the Address Book. I also have IM+ which is great - on par with BeeJive, but didn't mention it since you've already paid for a client. Then again I think they have a 30 day free trial available and you might want to give it a try.
