    transferring content 9530

I have been a storm owner for some time. Recently I got the new storm. I like it allot but one thing that seems to be allot harder to do then my old pearl, is the simplest thing. I am simply trying to copy files like video, pictures, and media from my comp to my computer.

When I use windows media player to transfer the mp3 music files it works great. It organizes it and everything.

That’s about where my luck stops.

I have been trying with no luck. When I open my computer I see the icon on the bottom of the screen that says "other devices" > Blackberry 9530

    I click that
    and Walla

    Device Memory
    and
    Card Memory

that’s about all it lists, cuz when I click either one it shows me 2 folders inside of it ONLY

    documents
    music

no other folders are listed. and what’s weirder, is I create folders then I disconnect my bb from the computer, and when I go back and connect the bb to computer again and go to that area on the blackberry the folder is gone(hidden). (although when I go thought the blackberry it’s there)

so I created so many dif folders and I can’t access them though the computer I am having a hard time and don’t understand why the new driver software is doing this to me.??
I can’t organize my files on the blackberry?

Sounds like you got yourself in a pickle. Unplug the BlackBerry from the PC. Go into media on the BlackBerry and unhide all your folders. Make sure you have mass storage mode enabled (options > memory). At this point you should be able to just drag and drop when you plug in the BlackBerry to the PC, as the device should show up an external Hard Drive. I would check to see if you have encryption enabled on the MicroSD as well.

You may want to tell Windows to show all hidden folders and unhide using that method if the previous method doesn't work.

Auto mass storage set to yes (automatically access MicroSD on BlackBerry when plugged into PC)
Auto mass storage set to prompt (choose to enable or deny access to MicroSD from PC each time you plug the BlackBerry into your PC)
Auto mass storage set to no (PC will not access MicroSD when plugged into PC)

why would someone choose to not allow mass storage auto to "yes"
    on plug in?

it seems that when i run the desktop manager syn it makes the option set back to "no" by itself

    is this possible?

    -happy

a few more explanations about what this is all about would be great.
no thats not ture i was able to access the microSD card when this option was set to
    "no" it just

    1) came up under my computer>other devices>Blackberry 9530>Media Card>
    2) it acted buggy like i was trying to explain up there (in my earlier post). most of the files when i put them into the folder would just dissapear.
    3) i would get this error message, or something like this "the files you are transferring are only about to be held on the blackberry you can not use them"

so it changed the way my computer saw the blackberry completely. i dont understand this hole thing?
