transfer contacts from computer to phone?

here's the deal.. i don't have my contacts on a phone right now, they are all saved to a notepad document on my comp..

i don't have any old backup files saved from my previous bb's so i can't just do a restore..

is there some type of program that will allow me to type my contacts in on the comp and transfer to my phone via usb/device manager?

i'd really hate to spend my first day with the storm using the touch screen to input 200+ contacts..

Microsoft Outlook Express will now sync with BB devices in desktop manager 4.6 and 4.7 (possibly 4.5 as well). You just need to go to sync options in DM and set it up once you type all the contacts into Outlook Express on the computer. This applies to XP since I don't think Vista has Outlook Express anymore (they changed it to something different but I don't use Vista so not sure what it is called there).

You can also sync your BB with windows live mail if you don't have outlook. I would have to look for the how to but it can be done. I sync to outlook on my laptop and WLM on my Desktop.

Are you on a PC or a Mac?

If on PC, what OS are you running?

Did google sync work out for you? Works like a charm for me.

Yes they will stay there even if you delete the app. If you happen to have a hotmail or msn email I would consider getting windows live email that way you always have a back up of your contacts.

Glad it worked for you and I actually wasn't thinking totally strait because if you have a gmail account and use google sync then you should always have a back up as well. I actually use both, just in case.
