    I haven't had any problems with the screen, but I'm scared to put paper on the battery.

    ditto that sam. mine is working great and i don't want to monkey with it. in that thread some were talking about it helping the loose door too.mine is as tight as can be.maybe that's why ours are working properly. loose door= bad key response...tight door= good key response.

    i actually cut a .5" square piece of credit card and put in the center behind the battery door and it greatly improved mine. i think just because it decreased the distance my screen had to travel to click so its faster now.

    ...How does this reduce the travel of the screen? It is on a chassis floating in the frame of the phone.
    You have two ears, two eyes, and one mouth;
    therefore, listen and observe twice as often as you speak.

    Well I tried out a standard sized post it note folded up a few times. Waiting for the device to power back up. As long as the Storm doesn't explode, I'll report back, lol.

    ++

    Well I can say it appears as though it is a bit more responsive, at least when typing in landscape. I'll keep a fire extinguisher near by just in case. Is fire covered by warranty ?

    This is being done by A LOT of users on HowardForums (to include me). Let me just tell you that those of you who are scared to do this, dont be. I know many of you are saying "but mine works just fine", you dont realize just how much this trick improves your typing. We have all found that if you cut two business cards to fit on top of the battery (Dont take the battery out, there is no need) also I added a piece of paper with the two cards so in total, I have two business cards and a piece of paper cut to the size of the battery and put the battery door back on. It will be a tight fit but you WILL SEE A DIFFERENCE. Even if you dont think yours is "broke" just try it. You will see. Good luck.
