    Advertisement

    i have my phone contract with verizon.

    and i was wondering if it was possible to send multiple messages at once?

    for exmple the limit on the storm is 150 characters per text right?
    well when i had my pearl with tmobile.
    i would let me send up to 6 messages in lenght.

    is it possible to have that on the storm?

    You can go beyond the 160 Character limit. Smart phones will automatically thread the message. But it will still count as multiple messages from your carrier.

    I don't think you can. When you try to compose a message over the max length it prevents you from adding any additional characters. Unless there I'd a workaround I'm unaware of?

    Hmm.. I'm assuming that this is with Verizon?

    The only carrier I know of that imposed the hard 160 character limit was Sprint. Then again, Verizon may follow suit.
    As always, just my opinion...

    My contract is VZW and limit is 160. I will send as MMS instead and just type away, not sure if there is a limit on MMS but I have sent much more than 160 characters.

    There is an upper limit on MMS, but it's much greater than 160. That's weird that Verizon would not allow the ability to string them together. Clearly other BBs do it, so it's not like they don't have the technology available.

    Sorry to hear! Seems like another way Verizon is crippling handhelds...

    Not on Verizon.
    You have two ears, two eyes, and one mouth;
    therefore, listen and observe twice as often as you speak.

    yep i have the storm and it limits it at 160 ... if you send it as a mms i believe its 1000 characters.. but make sure the person you are sending it to has unlimited pic messaging as it uses a picture message regardless of whether a pic is sent

    I'm with Telus. Limited to 150 characters. Hard limit with no ability to string. I have to create a new message. A bit of a pain
