Go to vzw.smithmicro.com and download VZAccess Manager. You'll need the $15 tethering plan for it to work though.

You can also tether via Bluetooth on both PCs and Macs. User is yourphonenumber@vzw3g.com. Password is vzw. Number to dial is #777.

Are you typing from your Storm?

    All your "o"s are "i"s

Looks like the virtual keyboard has the same problem as the iPhone. ACCURACY

Can you elaborate on this? Forever, I've plugged my laptop into my BB for modem use- you're saying I can do so wirelessly? Cool! What kinda of data rates? What are the steps? Thx in advance.

Tethering can be done via Bluetooth (slow) or Wire (BLAZING FAST).

Wow Verizon has really stepped up their Network game.

Its $15 tethering fee if you are on the BES plan ($44.95), if you are on the BIS plan ($29.95) its $30 to tether. Trust me I've been down this path. I tether my storm to my comp for almost 8 hours a day. If you are trying to tether your storm, simply install the CD that comes with the phone and run the wizard on setup. It works automatically. You can do this either via bluetooth, which is very slow as others have said or you can use the supplied USB cable and it will run very fast. Hope this helps.

I don't notice any speed difference whether tethered via cable or bluetooth. Both are fairly fast. Neither, of course beats a true wifi connection though.

I also have a Rocket Stick (usb high speed cellular). I actually find the BB tethered via bluetooth faster than the Rocket Stick.
