I wasn't aware there were 2 curves. I thought there was only the 8330.

Well the first Curve is composed of the 8300 - 8330. They are all basically the same with slightly modifications here and there. Then there is the new Curve thats out called the BlackBerry 8900 or Javelin. This is a brand new one that is still be rolled out by carriers like T-Mobile (tomorrow).

This is the BlackBerry link to the old curves:
    Curve 83xx

This is to the new one:
    Curve 8900

    You'll Love the 8900!

Trust me, the 8900 is the way to go. RIM still has a long way to go with touchscreens. It was the laggy interface that really did me in with the Storm. Also, if you're like me, you'll have trouble getting used to the Storm's multiple keyboards. Aside from lacking 3G, the 8900 is almost the perfect BlackBerry. It's got the full QWERTY keyboard (while still being the smallest of the Bold, Storm, and 8900) and it has the nicest screen. Check out my video comparing those three phones at youtube.com/watch?v=Shm5T0zL0hQ

To answer your question, yes, it is much faster. Both browsing on the Storm, and when it's tethered to a computer.

I figured as much. My wife still has the storm, I do not. I gave mine up due to all the issues I had with 2 of them. So I'm month to month on TMO right now and was toying with the idea of trying the 8330, but not if the net speed stinks. At least with my 8320 I get wifi.

I have the storm and the curve and had the bold. In speed tests the storm out performs the curve and the bold.
