Mine lasted about 12 hours yesterday - no calls but a fair amount of web browsing and general "tinckerin' with it"... not so impressed by that... I expect that a phone should not need to be charged every night unless you are LITERALLY on it all day. So far (got it friday) the storm does not live up to that expectation

I'm not impressed with it either, but today will be my first "production day" with it. This weekend I just spent playing around with it and getting used to it.

I hear what you're saying, but should we have to shut down everything just to make this thing last a full day without even being ON it all day?!

I want to like this phone, but between them frequent lock ups, bugs, laginess and poor battery life, things are looking grim... I carry my receipt with me...

Give it time, the OS Update in Dec. might fix some of the issues and battery life. I really noticed an improvement on my Curve when they released "Official" 4.5 OS. I am looking to the future...

haven't noticed it while charging (haven't checked it, I should say) but I have noticed it gets hot if I am on it and say, web browsing for a while

Yep, but think it has something to do w/processor. My Dell Axim X51V does the same thing...still runs great 6+ yrs. later. It has a 624mhz processor, same as 9530.

Does not get as hot when charging while pwrd off.

I dont see what the deal is with not charging every night either. I think sometimes people forget that when you are using a device that is capable of 3G types of data service adn they can run an intensive web page it's going to use more battery. My phone does get hot when I am charging it....I thought it had to do with the hard case I have it in...we'll see. I'm gonna go buy a silicon case today to see which I like better.

It's not that hard to remember to shut down the screen when you are not using it or to shut off your B/T or GPS when you are done.

This whole weekend I have left all three messengers running, heavy texing, BBM use alot...tons of browsing and a few calls and the phone can go from about 7am till 5 or 6pm before it has about 20% of the battery left. Much better than the first curve I had and a lot better than the iphone...so I am pleased with the battery use.
Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?

Its not that I don't want to charge it every night, I just don't think it should NEED to be charged every night unless it has had heavy use.

I had a regular LG phone a while back that even with moderate to heavy use only needed to be charged twice a week.

I just think the battery should last more than 1 day, unless you are on it ALL DAY.
