    sim card rejected

My boss has the storm. She got it thursday when it came out. It has the 4.7.0.65 and when she went out of her service area it says "Sim Card Rejected" any ideas as to why or how to "unreject" it?

If she's not traveling in an area (aka Internationally) that requires a card just tell her to pull the card out all together. It's not required to operate in the US (or Canada for the most part, though it will).

Also, turn off connections/power off/pull battery out for 30secs.

My Storm said "Sim card rejected" today, pulled battery out and jiggled the SIM card. All is well now.

I have the same message "Sim Card Rejected". I did a battery pull and it was gone, but later on came back and I'm wondering if it's because the phone was held a certain way and it might have loosened the SIM card?

i had this pop-up on my phone yesterday. did a power down, battery pull. reseated the sd card..Really dont know where sim card is, i take its that black card with verizon on it? I pushed that in, plugged in battery. NO message..

Charged phone all day at home, back at work, was talking on aim with friends, noticed msg again and the signal bar has a yellow thing on it, then went red. No connection. Did a battery pull again. All good so far.

It happened so fast so i cannot describe the yellow to red thing that was over the signal.

Being in USA what should my network techology be set to..Currently on global.

Same message showed up today and has been there all day .
I forgot to take the SIM card out. I am now playing MP3's and don't want to wait for a power cycle. I'm just going to wait it out and see what happens, lol.

i haven't seen this message on mine but i heard something curious when they were activating mine at the store. the manager came over to the sales person and told him not to activate the sim card unless they're going over seas. he said it was locking them up.

they asked me that aswell BUT i told them not in the near future, BUT since mine was dead for 1/2 of the day at launch, due to bad battery corrupting mt OS,maybe they did something to it when they had it behind closed doors????

all in all i think i am going to take it back, wait till the bugs get worked out.

too many negatives for me atm, the WOW factor wore off.

Call Global Support and have them register your SIM. That will fix the problem forever. While your on the phone with them - they will also unlock it (if you ask).
