Last night i was on the bus heading home, after meeting my wife at work.
I see this young guy (19ish) sitting in the seat in front of me, whips out his BlackBerry Storm with the Black Rubber Case on it. So this kid is scrolling around, also eye balling near by fellow transit users, i would imagin he was kinda flashing it to show off, because i had a clear shot of his screen from my seat, and he wasnt doing anything at all, just going in and out of different applications lol.

Here is the shameful part: He reachs in his pocket and pulls out the BlackBerry heaadphones that come with the storm, starts untangling them, with his storm sitting on his lap, it falls on the floor from the movment of the bus ( i cringe at the site of it )
He picks it up, put it BACK on his lap lol, reachs in his pocket again, pulls out an Ipod Touch, and inserts the BlackBerry headphones in to it ( now im shocked, and feel sorry for the BlackBerry headphones to be inserted in such a place ) its like taking a part of your body, and inserting it some places its not meant to go, NOT COOL lol

Then he pockets his Storm, Banishing it to the depths of his pocket, when he listens to music on his Ipod, when there is a fully capible device he just slipped away. Storm Comes with 8Gb chip. So i ask to all you Berry users, Is the Ipod touch such an outstanding device over the Storm, that you would pocket your storm, and carrie a 2nd device for music?

Im interesting to hear what you people have to say, If you all wish, we can setup a
Prayer service for the now Tainted BlackBerry Headphones, for they will never be Pure again lol

I'm not sure about the touch, but I know for cetain that an 8310s and a 9000s mp3 player sounds better than an Ipod. My brother has one and we compared the sound of the Ipod to his 8310 and my bold, and its better on the BB. We were using Phillips turbo bass ear buds.

    WOW!!!
unfortunatly i see things like this everyday on the Subway here in NYC. These people have Smartphones, (i would estimate about 85% are Blackberries) that are capable of playing up to 16gigs worth of movies and music, and they wanna waste carrying space with separate mp3 devices like the iCrap (IMO its crap). So they wanna carry an extra charger. an extra device, and when the battery messes up they gotta go and get it "serviced". I use n 8220 with Moto S9 bluetooth stereo headphones and enjoy my music. and when my phone rings for any reason, i can hear it! Now to show a lack of love for a storm (which BTW im envyous of you verizon customers) is maddness!

I still carry my iPod around with me and listen to my music on my iPod because I want to save my battery on my BB for more important stuff.....like STACKING....

plus I have over 100gb on my iPod...kinda hard to fit all that into my Bold

I think I will look into converting all the music I have in itunes to put on bb. M$aybe one of the new apps that allow for itunes without conversion. Honestly its the only reason I still have the ipod -- I'm lazy and haven't transferred all my music.

9of13 -- how's that headset working out? I have some skull candy ear buds that I love but would be cool to have bt AND music capabilities.

I got the Same headphones, They sound really good, and answer calls as good as any other, battery lasts about 8 hours solid music time, its only Draw back is that it dosnt block Sound as good as your Wired Tube Headphones that go in the ear, but still very good, and worth the money in my books

that headseet was the best i ever brought. i got them about a year ago for my TMo Shadow i had at the time. As xaroc said, the sound is great. you never have to touch your phone really. music plays in sterio and lowers volume for a message alert, and pauses playback during a call. the music controls are on the right earbud (Next, Previous, and play/pause/stop), and volume and phone answer/end on the left. BTW, when in a call, you only hear the caller thru the left only, which i like. it keeps my voice volume low! and it does last about 6 to 8 hours of use between charging. SOOOO worth the 80 i spent!

I use my iPod Touch to complement my smartphones. The screen is just plain gorgeous and all my digital copies are DRMed and only work on my mac and authorized iPods/iPhones.
I also get to be able to try all the AppStore has to offer and its lots of fun.
I use the high end Bose headphones and trust me, the iPod Touch sounds amazing.

I was interested in those headphones as well, but didn't like that part that goes behind the neck. I ended up ordering the JayBird BT headphones for my workout.

As for the topic, I have never owned a ipod, and don't plan on it when I have a BB with a media card packed full of entertainment. I also bring a charger to work so as soon as I see my battery go to half, plug it up and let it re-juice.

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

I use my storm for everything! Just recently got rid of my GPS, my cousin got me some Zune connectors and such, and I just got rid of those for some money.

Honestly, a storm, then an i touch......how stupid in my opinion, just stupid asnd careless....or he has money coming out of his parents wazoo, lolz
Running the .132 OS with v3.5 Hybrid installed, working pretty nice!

My Storm is my media player. I owned a 128mb .MP3 when they first came out. Never jumped on the iPod wagon, and have been using my various BlackBerry Devices to play media for almost three years now.
