    only 2.9MB C'MON!!

I seem to smell an issue that I would love to see get fixed...

I just realized the other day, a friend of mine sent me an email with something to download, and the item was roughly 4mb in size. Sadly my storm (as I assume the rest of the 9530's) are only capable of downloading up to 2.9mb

A little bit of the inconvenience when on the road but otherwise somewhat tolerable....I want more download capacity

Is there any way to tweak something to increase the capacity?

I dont know about attachments, but if you want to download something that is hosted on the internet download and use Opera Mini (I believe the limit, if there is one, is at around 100mb).
Thats how people download our Weekly PSCast (roughly 50mb) directly to their Blackberrys

WoW, thanks! Ranx, i didn't know that about Operamini, i will deff do that for the future.

But sadly, yes I am a little more concerned about attachments to emails...if only there was a way...oh well, back to my hut, lol

    thank you

I guess the easiest walk around would be to open up that particular mail via opera mini, but that can only work if its a webmail interface...

There is a 3rd party app called mediapop that works with pop mail accounts. It allows downloading email attachments up to almost 6mb. It's not free but you may want to take a look at it.

Hmm I don't think I have ever experienced that issue before quite strange, but well worth looking into.

Not vzw but RIM. They offer the attachment service. To my knowledge all bb's are capable of only 2.9MB

That's why I use mediapop it sidesteps RIMs limit

Here's a link for it from mobihand which also has a free trial, but it doesn't list compatibility for the storm though. I do a lot of beta testing for the developer though, I will ask him about that and let you know.
