I originally made a thread when this OS magically appeared on the download website before Bell launched the Storm. When it was pulled I asked that the thread be pulled also. Well it's back up, so here it is.

Software For BlackBerry® Storm(TM) smartphone BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.7.0.109 (Multilanguage)

    Package Version: 4.7.0.109
    Consisting of:
    • Applications: 4.7.0.76
    • Software Platform: 4.0.0.96
    • File name: 9530AMEA_PBr4.7.0_rel109_PL4.0.0.96_A4.7.0.76_Bell _Mobility.exe
    • File size: 102.85MB
Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.
    Download HERE

Unless your carrier is Bell you will need to go to C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\ResearchInMotion\Applo ader and delete the Vendor Xml file. Then plug in device>Open DM> and update.

I don't know about you guys but after this upgrade, I find my device is slower now. The little spinning clock have appeared more often then before.

I too, would like to know... I'll be getting mine in the mail in these next couple days and would like to do any upgrades/updates before I load in all my data, etc...

Theres no reason to be scared. The way the OS affects each device is different. What works great on some will not on others. You just load it up and see. If it works well, leave it. If it doesn't, downgrade.

Yes, until the OS reaches a certain point of stability, the way it affects each is completely device specific. Theres a lot of different variables, but the fact that some peoples Storm was fine on .65 and others wasn't is an example. Just like .75 works better for some people than .76 and vice versa.

I can vouch for that my other storm (verizon unlocked) is better on .75 whereas my telus unlocked is way better on .76
