Have you checked in the "Saved Messages" folder? It may be in there. The same thing happened to my boyfriend's curve and that one message driving him nuts was in that folder.

    Hope this helps.

When in doubt take the battery out!!! A battery pull might clear that up for you!!

This happen on my X's pearl and my 8700 as well... For the most part it was a saved message... But then a missed call icon got stuck too...

That's when a battery pull did its magic...

If the ol' battery pull doesn't remedy the situation, another thing to try is to open a messages folder, press the BB menu button, scroll down to View Folder. This will bring up a list of folders that could be where the little bugger resides. Go through those to see if there's anything hiding.

Another option to try is to look in your instant messengers and see if you accidentally have messages coming from there. In the messenger itself, make sure the option for message logs to show up in the main log is unchecked

How about just a general voice mail.

I'm sorry but while a battery pull is a good idea sometimes its not always the right choice... Some of you guys thinks its the GODLY ALMIGHTY fix it answer.. And anything that goes wrong 'oh just pull the battery out'. Why don't you try to help him I'm sure he already knows to pull the battery

We are trying to help the poster.

The reason for the battery pull is because sometimes the phone just needs to be reset like a PC. It really does work for most problems.

Easy there, lat. Several people have tried to help with suggestions other than the battery pull. And no, the battery pull doesn't solve all the world's problems, but no need for the hostility here.

IMHO the battery pull is right up there next to the hand of midas... It frankly really does have the ability to fix many issues...

And eeven though other suggestions have been made, there is absolutely no harm in covering all the bases. I'm sure you agree...

Oh and another thing that can work, do a backup and wipe the handheld to factory if the icons just get sticky and annoying...

Kungwel, please do post back and let us know what worked for you...
    Cheers...

Exactly what your avatar says, "Why So Serious"??? Seriously? You got the better solution - I'd love to hear it! This is not the place to knock someone's sugguestions to fix other's problems. If you don't feel the battery pull should fix it, then post a solution or keep your rude comments to yourself.

    Relax. You are among friends.....

I had the same problem with my Curve, with the indicator light getting "stuck". Battery pull worked.
