I updated some stuff from my old curve. (Bookmarks, a few contacts, etc) I had to resend the service books cuz the browsers was gone. Since then, the phone continues to reset itself. It goes to the white loading screen, gets to the home screen, updates security settings, and before I can press any buttons, it resets.

What can I do or try.

FYI: I've tried a battery pull. it just continues this loop.

i would do a OS - reinstall... plug it up and while its powering on, run the app loader and when it recognizes it, run the install... that way you have time to install it before it boots up(the system is actually on while its booting and up.... Is this for the storm or curve? They might know better in your phone specific thread, but maybe this will work

This is for my storm. I will try a reinstall. Should I just manually put the info that i transfered from my old curve?

if its not alot of info, yes, but if it is... try it again after reinstall and if it happens again, im afraid so ... if you still have the curve, try re-backing up, but clearing browser cache and doing a memory cleanup(certificates etc)

So I did the reinstall but my info was still on it. Same problem. It actually disconnected from my pc and reset over and over. Should I try to factory reset it?

So I went to wipe the device in security settings. It went thru just fine and it is still resetting on its own. I guess I gotta call VZW.

Try using jl_cmder to wipe the device first and then proceed with the OS install.

I installed it and tried but the storm won't stay on long enough to do anything. Even with it plugged in to my PC, it still just keeps resetting. No sim card or memory card is in the device. Just continual resets.

Keep the batter out of the device and connect it to the USB. I read somewhere that doing this gives you just enough power to go into the phone for a wipe etc... (If I remember correctly)...

Can someone confirm this for me? I vaguely recall doing this with a curve when it wouldn't recognize...

    You are correct red.

e2, try these instructions. They should work for you.

If you still can't get it after wiping with Jl_cmder, it might be defective.
