MobiTV Reboots Storm after prolonged play

A week has passed and been working out my Storm quite heavily. Seems like MobiTV needs to come out with a Storm friendly version of its software as that:

    1. It works only in Noncompatable mode.
    2. It reboots the Storm after prolonged 15 minutes play (after you exit the application).

Wonder if Catside has seen this also?

$9.99 a month? Does it play in full screen? I checked the website and they only show the 8130 for Verizon as being supported...

How did you get MobiTV to install and run? After getting the Bold at Best Buy and becoming addicted to MobiTV, I then decided to return the Bold because the reception was completely ineffective. I now have the Storm, and love the reception and the bigger screen, but it appears MobiTV has not been (and maybe will not be) customized for the Storm. I tried to sign up under both the Bold and Pearl links, but no luck so far. Please tell me how I can download and use the service, even if it's not perfect. Feel free to PM me. Thanks!

Pick it for the 8130.... MobiTV is LIKE CRACK! Especially the Anime channel.... it runs in 8130 mode and I got a note from the techs today to writ:

    Greetings tstrike,

Thank you for contacting MobiTV Customer Support!

Currently, we do not support the BlackBerry Storm. However, we may develop and test the MobiTV service for compatibility with that device in the future. Currently the only supported application we have for the BlackBerry is Mobi4Biz, It will not be available until February of 2009.

Thank you for your interest in MobiTV!

    Sincerely,

Does this mean Mobi4Biz is available now or will be available in February 2009? And accordingly, does this mean MobiTV will be available in February 2009? I will try to download the 8130 program. Thanks!

OK, last week I downloaded MobiTV on my Storm and started it up. I saw one channel, but then had an awful realization - no track ball to change channels! How did you deal with this? I miss MobiTV, but not enough to go back to the Bold.

    options>advanced>applications>enable compatibility mode

"swipe" should work for trackball in compatibility mode. you will only get top half of the screen in portrait and keyboard on the bottom but should work.

Thanks so much for your help. OK, I get the MobiTV top half/screen bottom half, and have figured out how to "swipe" scroll through the TV guide, but every time I tap to choose a channel, I get the Blackberry menu with "Back," "Help," "Exit," and "Switch Application." I also tried hitting enter on the keyboard, but no such luck.

unfortunately compatibility mode has its limitations. some programs work with it and some don't. maybe they will release a storm version before too long.

OK, I figured out how to use the keys, though I am just starting to test out how everything will work. (Initial tests are - workable, but not great.) I have compatibility mode enabled, but I don't know if that matters. Use the keyboard as you would a phone keypad. It's in portrait mode, Suretype setting. In the guide, "DF" moves left, "JK" moves right, ""TY" moves up, and "BN" moves down. Press "space" to select the channel. Also, I think if you lock in the number keyboard (hold down "!?123") you can just type the number of the channel and it will go that channel in the guide, then you can go back to the Suretype keyboard and press "space" to select. It's not the same as MobiTV on the Bold, but at least it works! Some of the news channels are live, so you can listen continuously to streaming news.

if you have a fav channel you could lock it in,then change back to "disable compatibility mode" and watch it in landscape.
